About the Artist & Events

Sharon Attaway is a professional artist living in Hanover, Maryland. Her mission is to bring joy to people as they collect her charcoal drawings, her colorful resin abstracts or portrait commissions.  

 Sharon started drawing at an early age. She drew pencil portraits and still life scenes as a hobby. It was not until she retired from Baltimore County Public Schools that she decided to take painting classes to introduce color into her work. Sharon attended classes at Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), Schuler School of Fine Art, and Zoll Studio School of Fine Art. Sharon continues using each of these mediums in her artwork.
